Handmade in Honduras

Gina

Daughter Zissel modeling her mama's work

Gina is a married mother of two (son Mitchell and daughter Zissel) who makes jewelry in her spare time to help pay for her education.  She says she has always wanted to be a doctor in order to help people, and she is making that dream a reality -- she’s now in her third year of medical school!

When asked to describe herself, Gina says she is a friendly person who is always looking for ways to better her life.

In her words:

Making jewelry is not just a hobby; for me, it’s more than that.  It’s a way to express myself, to help my family’s economy, and to offset the cost of my education.  I love to see how a woman’s beauty can be elevated by a handmade detail, and I enjoy translating my imagination into something pretty like an earring, bracelet, or necklace.  I hope you like my work!
